Ankita Lokhande on facing anxiety issues

During a recent chat with ETimes TV, Ankita Lokhande opened up about facing anxiety issues after her stint in Bigg Boss 17. The actress said, “After Bigg Boss, things do affect me, I won’t deny it. I started to have anxiety issues and I used to discuss with Vicky that I was going into depression. That was the point when I realised that this is anxiety. I couldn’t sleep the entire night thinking about several things. I used to get palpitation, Mujhe khauf hogaya tha cheezon ka… but now everything is fine. Ye sab cheezein theek hui because I had the support of my entire family.”

She continued, “This is a very serious problem in our country where anxiety and depression are taken very lightly. I’ve gone through it after coming out of Bigg Boss. With the help of Vicky and my family, I managed to come out. They understood my issues and today I can say that now things don’t affect me. Like earlier, things never bothered me, whether it was trolling or kisi ko bolne se mujhe kabhi farak nahi pada but after Bigg Boss I was very affected mentally. Maine uss cheez se apne aap ko bahar nikala hai and I don’t even want to think about it.”

On family helping her in the difficult time

Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain added, “In our case, we were lucky we had our loved ones around and they were very supportive. We did not have to seek therapy as our family was around us. We have been fortunate we have a good family who understood us and gave us their attention. We are doing good work. We only need family’s support during these difficult times and nothing else. You just need your family to understand you because it affects you a lot and reh jaati hai cheezein.. agar aap ko aap ka parivar samajh raha hai then you don’t need any doctor. They become your healer.”
